Announcing... Best Little Whorehouse in Texas

The Bridewell Theatre Tuesday 4th - Saturday 8th November 2014 Director: David Villiers Musical Director: Paul Cozens Choreographer: Cara Turtington Producer: Ellie Cahill We'll be having a rip-roaring good time country & western style at The Bridewell this November! This happy go lucky view of small town vice and statewide political side-stepping recounts the good times and the demise of the Chicken Ranch, known since the 1850s as one of the better pleasure palaces in all of Texas.

Governors, senators, mayors, and even victorious college football teams frequent Miss Mona's cozy bordello until that puritan nemesis 'Watchdog' Melvin P Thorpe focuses his television cameras and his righteous indignation on the institution. Whorehouse is great fun. It’s great fun from an audience point of view, and just as importantly from a cast point of view. There are cracking songs and upbeat dance routines aplenty. The show is packed with fun characters and cameos, but we will be needing a talented and energetic core company that will make up the girls of the Chicken Ranch, the boys of the Texas Aggies American Football team, as well as cheerleaders, townsfolk and the Melvin P Thorpe singers. From the director: I can honestly say, having seen the show 3 times and been in it myself twice, Whorehouse promises to be a wonderful company experience, and the audience will love it! There are a wealth of opportunities available, and I welcome all comers to the auditions. As well as the principals and a handful of major roles, the show really needs a hugely enthusiastic company to bring the whole thing to infectious and energetic life. Keep an eye on your inbox for the audition notice... Coming Soon!!!
