The Board of Trustees 2025/2026

PRESIDENT
Alexis LAMBERT

(she/her)



Alexis first joined Centre Stage in 2011, and has performed in fourteen Centre Stage shows - favourite roles include Roz in 9 to 5, Patty in Grease and Nellie in Jekyll & Hyde.  She has also contributed backstage - she produced Centre Stage Unplugged and Fame; and most recently was the Assistant Director on both Disney mega-shows The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Little Mermaid. She first joined the Board of Trustees in 2013 and spent a year as membership manager, three years as business manager and four years as Chair, before becoming Centre Stage's second ever President in 2021. She has over 20 years of experience in consulting and business operations and is currently the Chief Operating Officer of a tech start-up, as well as an ICF qualified coach.

CHAIR
Tal Hewitt

Tal is delighted to be Chair of Centre Stage for a second year, having previously served as Centre Stage’s Artistic Director. She has absolutely loved being a part of this vibrant and caring musical theatre family. During her time with Centre Stage she has had huge amounts of fun supporting shows like Cinderella (Stage Manager), The Wedding Singer (committee rep), Hunchback and Cats (choir/booth singer) as well as being a creative team member herself (co-directing Holiday Inn, Huge Stick Of Musical Rock, Godspell and Jesus Christ Superstar). She also performs and appeared on stage in Centre Stage’s Ragtime and more recently in Head over Heels. As Chair, she is honoured to serve on the committee, to help continue the legacy of the great work done by Centre Stage teams in the past.

TREASURER
Stephen hewitt (he/him)

Stephen first joined Centre Stage to play Henry Ford in Ragtime and is now delighted to be staying on the Centre Stage committee for a second year as Treasurer. He has been involved in many recent Centre Stage shows: co-directing (Holiday Inn, Huge Stick Of Musical Rock, Godspell, Jesus Christ Superstar); stage managing Cinderella; acting and singing (Cats, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Head over Heels) and playing guitar in The Wedding Singer, Godspell and Huge Stick Of Musical Rock bands too. Stephen is committed to Centre Stage’s core values of community, inclusivity, fun and creative achievement.

Francois VanHoutte

François joined Centre Stage in 2018 with Grease and hasn’t stopped since — eight shows and counting. His favourite roles include Judas in Godspell (2021) and Rum Tum Tugger in Cats (2022). After a well-earned post-Covid break from being Box Office Manager, he’s back as Secretary, delighted to serve… and to keep improving his English!

bUSINESS MANAGER
Navin Nair
(he/him/they/them)

Navin (or Nav) has had the pleasure of being in three beautiful shows with Centre Stage. He played a camp horse in Cinderella, Ted Handover in Holiday Inn and Tentacle #1 in The Little Mermaid. A Chartered Account by day, he is returning to join the committee for the 2025-26 term, again as the Business Manager.

Will has previously served as Artistic Director and Marketing Officer on the Centre Stage Committee, and is now on his second year in his second stint as Artistic Director. He is always happy to talk about how members would like to see Centre Stage expand and grow, and is always there to listen to any concerns the membership may have. He's been in multiple Centre Stage shows including: Holiday Inn, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Cats, The Little Mermaid, Huge Stick of Musical Rock, Jesus Christ Superstar and more! In his day job he works as a Producer at BBC Studios.

Rosie o'rourke(she/her)

Rosie joined Centre Stage in 2022 when she performed in Cats, and hasn’t looked back since. She has performed in 7 shows with CS since then, and is always excited to audition for the next one. Rosie works in wardrobe in the West End by day and has over 7 years experience in box office management, along with slowly trying to grow her crochet and crafts business in her downtime.

Grace joined Centre Stage way back in 2017 where she helped out backstage for Fame. Since then she has been on the committee in many different roles and performed in Centre Stage shows on stage. She is excited to see what 2026 has to bring to the London amdram scene and help Centre Stage thrive with their amazing upcoming season of shows!

Elsie, originally from the US, moved to London last year to complete her master's degree in Journalism.  She's always been an avid thespian and has been described as a proper "American theater kid".  Now, post-degree, she is looking to reconnect with theater after a long hiatus from the craft.
